the gist of this... the gentleman in the piece was in hospital to have a brain tumor removed. it was high risk surgery because of other pre-existing conditions with his heart.

The man is blind and lives alone. On the second day after surgery, the hospital said he had to go home. his family tried to fight it because he was not ready to be on his

own and because of the complications. He was told if he stayed in the hospital, he will be billed ...

It would be when the protagonist is a newborn baby and an important event happens, but of course the protagonist wouldn't be able to remember the event being so young. It's a way of letting others keep a sense of your story, without giving the whole thing away. For me, it was also a way of pushing myself to try harder to make each sentence count. This doesn't seem like a very good example, but it is the last paragraph. I think I managed about 500 words this morning on the WIP, a great improvement for me. So, here's today's:

Thinking recently due to my own sluffing of brain cells and reading/hearing over the years how 'famous' writers get up at odd hours (for me) -pre-dawn, dawn, etc. and write so long, then go back to bed or whatever.

When younger, my personal brain peak was between 10 am and 2 pm, other times, less productive. SO...I am curious as to when (time/times) and/or conditions (in bed, kitchen table, dedicated office space, etc.) that people find best. Or it when time is just squeezed in?

Since November is upon us, would anyone be interested in joining in here like the other poems (a collaboration) in creating an "Ode to Thanksgiving?" Here's a link to a few examples of an Ode. I just thought why not praise Thanksgiving. There are a few different rhyme scheme, so we can choose to make it ababcdecde etc. or ababcde. We can already choose how many stanzas we want and keep to a specific theme about describing weather and things we're thankful for in life. Anyone interested?
