What I Learned Today......

Took the Turkettes to see a magician today.

I learned that magicians are not very fascinating to those who already know magic exists.

that when a grub explodes fish and garlic in the microwave, but forgets to tell you that he was even cooking some in there, and forgets to clean it up, and then you don't use the microwave for a couple days but you walk around the house sniffing and wondering what sort of vermin crawled into your home for the purposes of dying, and then you open the door and find the mess....

... it is 1) one of those days where you hate being a domestic engineer and
2) one of those days where you wish you had a hazmat suit... or a really sexy guy in a hazmat suit. Hell... any guy in a hazmat suit willing to clean it up would have worked for me.

I have learned that if mosquitos voted for their favorite human to feast on, it would be me.

i learned that if i am going to a picnic, I want JaM to be invited too, because then the mosquitos will leave me alone.

So I learned this years ago but I am reminded of it again now. Artistic endeavours with deadlines are meant to drive some people nuts.

i learned that a lot of people would do anything to help Paula write... even if it meant they had to call her a smartass.

I've learned that the sun only shines when I don't have plans to go to the park.

Two things today. It is so seldom I have real deadlines, I realized today things haven't changed from years ago - I always get to the 'have to' point.

I think my life is slowly being taken over by food, but not eating, just prep and cook.

Really, I am just too old to learn much more.

ohhhhh, the prep and cooking thing is good, JaM. It means yer eating the right stuff.

and I really don't believe you are 'just too old' and you are never too old to keep learning.

I learned that it is Stick Yer Hayd Up Yer Ass Before Getting Behind the Wheel day. I wish someone had told me that before I got onto the roads with those morons.
