East Coast Quakes.

Post by JustaMan on Tue Aug 23, 2011 6:38 pm

The media world can now go into panic mode with quakes in DC, NYC, Detroit, VA, North and South Carolina - I missed it so far but live only 6-8 miles from a nuclear plant so if you do hear from me again.... ever.

i told ya yesterday that you should get the hell outta there.

relax. wilf blitzer assures us in a breaking bulletin that Obama took a call. Seriously... he took a call!!!!! java jitters If POTUS is taking calls, how bad can it really be... unless... OMG he took a call!!! That can't be good!

for the first ten minutes they were all talking bombs, terrorists, but my personal thought is that it was Ahhhhnowd getting even with the Kennedy's.

stay safe hon. its a crazy fucked up world out there. The earthquake and hurricane could be the least of your problems when you look at the shit happening in DC.

I spent the first sixty-four years of my life on the California coast and rode out a lot of earthquakes. I am truly thankful I never had to be evacuated and spend any time in a bunker filled with liberals. Ghastly! Life in DC has to be horrible!

I'm sure DC and NYC being media central for all the networks, there will be enough anxiety going on for the world. I have already turned the news off.

Pass me one of those shirts. My house is still standing and I haven't found any new stress cracks. I guess the old ones were enough. I'm pretty disgusted with myself though. I chose to type that we were having a quake on FB instead of watching my chandelier sway. Aftershock may relieve that if we have one.

What was that, a 4.3 aftershock I heard? Remember all those predictions the psychics made some years back about the US becoming divided by the Mississippi?

And California was going to detach from the mainland and become an island. Many of us hoped it would do just that, then float on down to join Mexico, where it belongs.

The New Madras Fault lies on or near the Mississippi. How about a new Grand Canyon?

I wonder how long we'd get to sight see the newest wonder of the world before they start charging admission?
